O-R-E-O!

Just a quick blog with a few pictures dedicated to Olivia's new favorite desert... OREOs.

She only eats the center!

Splish, Splash I Was Taking a Bath!

After her spaghetti dinner Olivia and I marched right upstairs and she got a much needed bath. She loves her bath time and stays in the tub until every last drop has drained. I usually end up mopping the floor each night because she has splashed her little heart out!

Check out her tan lines.
Trying to drink from the faucet.

Very excited about something!

Mommy's Spaghetti Dinner

One of my favorite wedding gifts that I received and use 3-4 times a week was my big crockpot! It is wonderful to be able to throw something in the crockpot in the morning and then go play with Olivia during the day! One of my favorite meals is spaghetti. The hardest part is opening all the cans of tomatoes! Olivia also loves my spaghetti and is a messy eater! I never make it the same way two times in a row, but it always seems to taste great. Check out Olivia eating her spaghetti.

FROGS!!!

The Exploreum is a great children's museum in located in downtown Mobile. They have an IMAX theater, a permanent hall with hands on educational activities and a hall for the traveling exhibits. The current traveling exhibit is FROGS! They have real frogs on display along with great interactive activities geared to kids. My friend, Amy, invited us to go with her and her girls. Olivia had a great time and was two steps behind Ella, trying to do exactly what she was doing. If you are free for the afternoon, I highly recommend going there!

Dauphin Island Beach

Olivia and I were invited to go down to Dauphin Island Beach with my friends and coworkers, Cassie and Ashleigh. It was the first time I had been to the Island in probably 10 years and it was definitely the first time since Katrina devastated the West End and moved Sand Island. I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice the beach was! The Island is closer to us than Orange Beach and I found it to be not as crowded. Also, with Sand Island now adjoining the Island, it has created little inlets that have pools that are 1-2 feet deep. These pools are perfect for Olivia because she thinks she is being a big girl by "swimming" in the Gulf, but there are no waves to knock her over! We had a great time and look forward to going back often to play!

Olivia & Cassie had a stand off about how Olivia was going to get out there to cool off with Cassie... Olivia won!
Being brave coming back in from the water.

Tutus by Mommy

In an effort to save money, I have decided to make some of Olivia's dress up clothes. My first project was a tutu for Olivia. She loves playing dress up with it and thinks she is hot stuff! Check it out!
The first finished tutu.
It was made from hot pink and teal tulle.

Putting it on for the first time.
Happy, pretty girl!!

Olivia and Her Dogs

Now that Olivia is pretty steady on her feet, we have been letting the dogs in the back yard with her. They run around after each other and enjoy swimming as a group in Olivia's pool! Olivia fusses at them if they get too close to her while they are playing rough. She likes to yell "NO!! Dixie, NO!" Lately she has been referring to all dogs as "Dizzy" as she calls Dixie and Bama is otherwise known as "Bamga." Her are a few pictures of them playing together in the back yard.

Olivia and Bama or "Bamga" depending on who you ask!

Dixie or "Dizzy" climbing in the pool.

Check out that diaper!
It was getting heavy and she couldn't take it anymore!
What a good looking group! :)
I think this look is "Dixie, if you lick my face one more time!"

Look at that nasty pool water after Olivia and both dogs have been playing in it!

July 4th Weekend Part 3

On the 5th of July we braved the traffic and ventured down to Orange Beach. We got about 2 hours of beach time before the clouds rolled in and made us move. After we left the beach we headed to The Wharf. We enjoyed dinner at Johnny Rockets and then walked around. The boats at the marina were impressive... as always.
