Well, almost exactly one week later, Olivia is pretty much back to normal. The only sign that she was ever sick is a slight runny nose and a tiny pitiful cough. She is beginning to run around the room again and is back to "talking" up a storm. 14 months is a long time to have been blessed with a well, healthy child. Maybe we can go another 14 months if we are lucky!! I know one thing for sure, I certainly have no desire to watch her suffer from not feeling well anytime soon.
It was horrible to see her not feel well and know the only thing I could do was treat the symptoms as best as I could because what she had was viral. Once again it reminded me why I can't work with pediatric patients... I hate seeing kids suffer!!
Mardi Gras is about to start, so we should be posting some pictures of her at a few parades in a couple of weeks. We will be hitting the ones in Fairhope, Daphne and Spanish Fort, while staying away from the ones in Mobile. We have "prepped" Olivia by taking her to the Christmas parades in Daphne and Fairhope and think she will enjoy the big colorful floats. She seemed to enjoy all of it except when the police cars went by to move the "crowds" back. We'll see how she does!
Have a great weekend!!
